James Gray: Private Tour Guide in Argyll

I've always been passionate about Argyll; it is in my very soul. Its landscapes, history and people have shaped both my creative work and the way I share this remarkable part of Scotland with guests.

My composing for film and television has taken me around the world, but Argyll has always remained home.

My score for the Channel 4 series All Aboard! Scotland’s Poshest Train, presented by Alan Cumming and filmed aboard Belmond’s Royal Scotsman, won Best Original Score at the Royal Television Society Scotland Awards. The series also won the BAFTA Scotland award for Best Factual Entertainment.

My other television work includes Countryfile (BBC), Phil & Kirsty’s Love It or List It (Channel 4), Billy Connolly’s Billy Does Nature and Derren Brown’s Trick of the Mind. Clients have included the BBC, ITV, Discovery Channel, SKY, DMAX, VisitScotland, BMW and SEAT.

I love meeting new people, creating thoughtful, flexible journeys and showing guests the places, stories and quieter corners that make my homeland so special.
