The Glencoe Loop - 3 hours

Quite simply one of the most astonishing places you will witness

  • 3 hr

Service Description

Glencoe is quite simply astonishing and will leave you in absolute awe and wonderment. Famous for the Massacre on 13 February 1692, an estimated 30 members and associates of Clan MacDonald of Glencoe were killed by Scottish government forces, allegedly for failing to pledge allegiance to the new monarchs, William III and Mary II. We leave Oban, passing Dunstaffnage Castle, and over the famous Connel Bridge. Meandering through many quaint, picture-worthy villages, there are hidden gems to stop and take in, with many dark stories to be told, settlements torn apart and ravaged by the Highland Clearances, the Appin Murder, Stalker Castle, and all this within the first 30 minutes! An absolutely history and myth packed adventure which (be warned) will leave you emotional and utterly amazed!
